The Friends of Braintree Museum is a registered charity which supports and promotes  the work and activities of Braintree District Museum and the Warner Textile Archive in every possible way.

Minutes of the 13th Annual Meeting of Braintree and Bocking Heritage Trust in February 1994, referred to the fact that in 1992 the Heritage Trust voted to become Friends of the Museum. The Museum opened in October 1993 and in March 1994, a special meeting of the Friends of Braintree District Museum and Heritage Trust approved the constitution.

Hence in March 2024 we will celebrate 30 years of the Friends of Braintree District Museum.
