An interesting programme of talks, mostly on local topics, takes place regularly throughout the year.
Talks are held in the Learning for Life Centre at 7:30pm (unless otherwise stated) usually on the first Friday of February, March, April, May, June, September, October and November. A charge of £3 is made to cover expenses.

Outings to places of interest also take place regularly and are well supported. These enable members to enjoy the artistic, architectural and historical heritage of our local area. We have visited the Museum of London and the Dickens exhibition, Kenwood House and Hampstead Heath, the Olympic sites, the Thames by boat to Westminster, Ely, Hatfield House and Houghton Hall.
All members are notified of details and costs. People with mobility problems are catered for whenever possible.
